The annual St Monica's Chess Tournament was held on 2 August – well done to all the students who played in this competition. There were some very tough games of chess played but all our students demonstrated strategy, critical thinking and good sportsmanship.  

Leading final scores after 7 rounds for the Seniors (Years 4-6): 7 points (1^st) - Mary   D-H (5F); 5 points (equal 2^nd) – Angelino S (5F) and Matthew M (6M); 4 points (equal 3^rd) – Gabriel J (4M) and Charlize S (5W); 3.5 points – Rohan G (4M) and Darcy B (5F).
