Thank you again to all of the families who attended the BYOD Parent Information Session on Monday evening. I have sent out the information that was presented and discussed at this meeting through Compass to parents in Years 3-5. 

The key takeaways for families to consider:

• Chromebooks are the required device for students, not iPads. If your child already has an iPad or other device this is fine and will be able to be used at school. 

• Please DO NOT set your child's computer up with a home login/email account. This causes problems at school as students are required to have a school login to access our networks. Please contact me if you would like assistance setting up your child's account.

• When purchasing a device there is no need to purchase Microsoft Office products as students have access to these through their school accounts. 

• Please take the time to discuss with your children the safe use of devices and your expectations as parents.
