Principal's Message

Dear St Monica’s families and friends,

Pope Francis on his visit to the USA in 2015 said,

God_is....jpg
"TruthBeauty, and Goodness are eternal attributes of being, known as the Transcendentals. Every being in creation possesses each of these attributes to some degree or another. Their source is God, who possesses each attribute in its ultimate perfection. Humans, since they are made in the image and likeness of God, not only have the attributes as a reflection of Him, but are also aware of these transcendentals and are drawn to them because the desire to seek out God is written in the human heart"  Jen Arnold

  God IS truth.

God IS beauty.

God IS goodness.

One of the most beautiful things that God made was the family. All of the Love, Beauty and Truth that God has for himself, he gives to families. The greatest of these is love, unconditional love, love that is so huge it cannot be described. This is the type of love we have for our children.

When you experience a ‘this makes my heart sing’ moment,  for example the birth of baby, your child walking for the first time, a relationship blossoming, a new friendship that is made, a beautiful sunset, the tune of a song, the kindness of a stranger, a community or village wrapping around others that need support, are examples of the transcendentals at work. These special moments, help us to capture but a glimpse of God’s grandeur!!

Playground upgrade / Naturescape project - Parents and grandparents are invited to have their say about the Playground / Naturescape upgrade project. When you come in for your parent-teacher interviews in Week 8 please stop by the Meeting Room in the Front Office to find out more about this important project for our school. Paul and Sanaz from Paul Barnett Design Group (PBDG) will be on-site on Wednesday 19 June from 4pm – 5pm to speak with parents about the project. A presentation, resources and information will be sent out via Compass, for families to explore and deepen their understanding of:
