Religious Life of St Monica’s 

Welcome to 2024.  My name is Melanie Stratford, and I am your new Religious Education Coordinator. I feel so blessed to be a part of St Monica’s community and I look forward to getting to know you over the coming year.  

This year our focus theme is ‘Flourishing in the Footsteps of St Monica’. Our theme builds on living out our footsteps of Respect, Resilience, Engagement and Growth and call all of us to ‘Flourish’ in our relationships with ourselves, others, God and our surroundings. Our focus scripture in 2024 is John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” 

Last Thursday all St Monica’s staff spent the day exploring our theme in a full day Spirituality Day Retreat at Hayden Hall, Manuka, where we explored scripture from Genesis and John, attended mass at the Cathedral and shared a meal in fellowship.  

 ‌You are invited to our join our community as we begin our journey to Flourish in the Footsteps of St Monica as a whole community at our Opening School Mass next Friday at 9.30am in St Monica’s Church.
