Focus on Kindergarten
In Kindergarten the students are exploring the concepts of relationships and resilience – both very important for all of us but especially for little people learning to be a part of a bigger community like school. As they investigate these big understandings they will learn that:
● as a child, Jesus grew up in his Jewish community, Jerusalem, just like they are growing up in their community in Canberra,
● we have relationships with the people around us - our families, our community,
● Jesus’ teachings can help them to make good choices, be resilient and develop positive relationships with others.
What choices did you have to make today? How resilient were you when things didn’t go to plan? How can we look to Jesus’ teachings to develop better relationships with everyone?

Thank you to Mr Mass and the Youth Ministry Team for the beautiful commissioning and blessing last week. We look forward to the great developments in this growing ministry.
Mary/Mothers
Our Kindergarten students and teachers are excitedly preparing to lead the whole school in prayer on Friday 19 May from 9.15am in the St Monica’s Church. You are invited to join us in celebrating all mothers, especially Jesus’ mother, Mary.
Parish Masses
As we continue to strengthen our good relationship with our parish, and to build greater connections, students at St Monica’s have restarted the practice of attending weekly parish masses on Wednesday mornings. Below is the list of when each year level aims to attend the Wednesday morning mass at 9.30am. You are warmly invited to join us in these Eucharistic celebrations.
