Reading Corner
Last week we looked at the different purposes for reading at home. We gave strategies for developing a lifelong love of literature in children. This week we look to the other component of home reading, Learning to Read. Learning to read involves children reading 'good fit books' to improve the strategies and skills learnt in class and therefore improve in their reading fluency, expression, comprehension and much more.
Below is a PDF from the Australian Literacy Educators Association outlining how you can make a difference to your child's reading.
