Confirmation - what a momentous celebration for our Confirmation candidates this week, please continue to pray for our newly confirmed. Huge thanks to Mrs Moir, Mr Green, Fr Loi, Mrs Stonham and to all advocates including the parents and sponsors of these students on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Walkathon – Our walkathon is scheduled for tomorrow! Thank you for your pledges and donations in support of providing additional resourcing for our school. Funds raised from the Walkathon will go toward the purchasing of decodable reading texts. These texts will complement the teaching and learning of Reading across all year levels. Huge thanks, in particular, to Mrs Russell, Mrs Brown and Keir Lawless for their superb planning, preparation and organisation of this wonderful community event. Thanks to Mrs Thompson and Mrs Flynn for collecting and counting the donations and to the parent volunteers who have generously donated their time as helpers on the day. All members of our school community are invited to join us tomorrow.

Public Holiday - As per the announcement made by Prime Minister Albanese, Thursday 22 September has been gazetted as a one-off public holiday, a National Day of Mourning for the death of Queen Elizabeth II.  All CECG schools and the Catholic Education Office will be closed on this day.  Business will return to normal for all CECG schools and the Catholic Education Office Friday 23 September.

SMOOSH Vacation Care –Please refer to the additional information included in this week’s newsletter. There is still time to enrol your child into the SMOOSH Vacation program.

Term 4 Parent Overviews will be sent home next week. Please use this information to complement the learning that will be happening at school next term. You may plan a trip to the library, watch the recording of or view a relevant TV program or perhaps facilitate a talk with your child about the learning that is coming up.
