Fourth Week of Advent
This coming Sunday marks the fourth week of Advent. During our prayer on Monday, we added the fourth purple candle. This candle is called the love candle. Love plays an important part in the Christmas story. Because of Joseph’s love for Mary, Mary was protected and was safely able to give birth to the baby Jesus. Mary’s natural motherly love for Jesus, is a reflection of God’s great love for us. Jesus grew up knowing he was loved by Joseph and Mary, and ultimately God. Jesus’ greatest commandment was love - to love one another, as he loves us.
Over the next week, leading into Christmas, how will you live Jesus’ greatest commandment of love?
