Principal's Message

Dear Parents

The weeks are now starting to slip away with only three weeks remaining and lots of events occurring around the school. I hope everyone has made time to book in for a parent/teacher interview next week. This will be the last opportunity for the teachers to provide parents with feedback on how their child has progressed since returning from remote learning. As outlined in the letter accompanying the booking correspondence, via the Compass Portal, there will be no comments on the end of year report. While I know parents will be very disappointed, a decision was made to focus teacher time on the preparation of valuable learning experiences in the weeks since returning to school. The teachers are currently putting in an incredible amount of time assessing and moderating work to determine future student goals for 2022. The goals will be shared at the meetings.
Congratulations to our Wednesday Group of Confirmation Candidates

This is a special week for our Year 6 students and their families who are receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation across several sessions. Please keep the families and children in your prayers. Thank you to Haley Stonham and the Year 6 teachers for your organisation and preparation.

2022 Kinder Orientation  - Save the Date

We have set aside Tuesday 7 and Thursday 9 December, between 3.30pm and 4.30 pm, for our 2022 kinder children to visit for two short orientation sessions. Information will be sent to all families outlining drop off and pick up arrangements.

Staff and Student Sickness

We are currently experiencing a high level of staff and student illness. Please do not send your child to school if unwell. We currently have Clare Battye and June Edwards away for the remainder of the week.

St Monica's Uniform Shop Reminder

Our uniform shop is now open to parents in the community to drop in on a Friday morning between 8.45am and 9.15am for essential items. Please remember you are on the school grounds and so masks are required when indoors, parents must check-in at the door with the Check In CBR app and maintain social distancing requirements. Numbers in the shop must be kept to a minimum. Qkr payments are our preferred method of payment or Eftpos.

Our uniform shop will be open for our new families on Thursday 25 November between 3.45 and 5.00pm.

Continue to stay COVID safe and may God's blessing be with everyone.
