Principal's Message

Dear Parents

So Much Fun Happening Around St Monica's
olympics_news.png
The children had a fabulous day representing their class country and engaging in a range of modified sports as part of our St Monica's Mini Olympics, last Friday. Thank you to Dion Russell and Nick Kimpton for sharing their Olympic experiences and setting the tone for the day. Thank you to Melinda Brown, Katarina Markovic, the SRC and Sports Leaders for their meticulous organisation.
From the Director - COVID-19 Update

Boorowa Carnival

Due to the current uncertainty regarding travel and ongoing hotspots occurring around NSW we have elected not to participate in the Boorowa Carnival again this year. We will improve on the round-robin in-school carnival we ran last year during Term 4. This was a big hit with the children and allowed for more children to be engaged in various sporting activities offered. This year we plan to seek parental help with the refereeing of the various games. More to come!

It's Hats On again!

Sunsmart_logo.jpg
Do not forget we are an ACT SunSmart School and all students are required to wear hats at school between August and the end of May. Hats are available from the Front Office or our Uniform Shop, but of course, for the meantime, while the weather is cold, students are permitted to wear a navy or maroon beanie. Remember, "No hat, No play".
School Check-in
Parents and visitors are now asked to check-in via our CBR Check-in app and our Compass Kiosk, both located in the school foyer. While I know it is inconvenient having to do both we need to keep our community safe and maintain our visitor register.

We continue to support the Leane Family

basket2.pngToday I had the special privilege of presenting Michael and Louisa with a beautiful gift created by the thoughts and donations made by families in Kinder and Year 2. The gift basket was filled with lots of beautiful baby items, as the family await the arrival of Baby Leane in September, and several very special gift vouchers that were purchased from donations we received. Gift packs were also purchased for Larissa and Isabella. Thank you to the amazing group of mums for coordinating this gift.
I would like to also acknowledge the special gift box, a group of Year 6 students prepared for Larissa. I delivered that box prior to Larissa coming back to school. She was so surprised and loved her special gift box of surprises.
Anyone who would like to also offer support to the family please contact the office. We have a very thoughtful and generous community; Michael and Louisa feel supported and very much appreciate your kindness.

It has been a very very busy week in the office as Mrs Flynn has been away sick. We are all very much looking forward to her return on Friday.

Continue to stay COVID safe and may God's blessing be with everyone.
