Staff News
Next week we will farewell Mrs Kelly Levi, Classroom Support Assistant. Kelly has worked at St Monica's for the past 12 years and has been a valued part of our fabulous Support Team. Kelly has accepted a position at St John The Apostle Primary School. Kelly's last day will be Thursday 5 August 2021. We wish her all the best and she will be greatly missed.
Tomorrow afternoon our new SMOOSH Director, Mrs Kamaljit Kaur, will visit our centre to take up her position, officially on Friday. Kamaljit has worked in several centres in Canberra and is very excited to be joining our team. I know you will all make her very welcome.
Each year around this time we would invite our beautiful grandparents into the school. We do so miss their stories and smiles but hopefully, things will improve for a possible Spring visit in Term 4.
Our Beautiful Savannah
On Tuesday Mrs Edwards and I were privileged to attend the private funeral service for Savannah Leane. This is the beautiful prayer card handed to all those present. Michael and Louisa are so very thankful to the St Monica's community for our thoughts and prayers.
Just in case - readiness for remote learning
To ensure we can change over to remote learning, if needed, I encourage parents to email if your child will require the use of a school device to access MS Teams and our online programs. We are currently checking that all passwords are working to make the transition a smooth one, should it be required. Fingers crossed we don't have to go with remote learning. Whatever happens, we will be ready to assist families.
School Banking - There will be no School Banking this Friday 30 July.
School Check-in
Parents and visitors are now asked to check-in via our CBR Check-in app and our Compass Kiosk, both located in the school foyer. While I know it is inconvenient having to do both we need to keep our community safe and maintain our visitor register.
