This week I have enjoyed working with a group of students in Years 5 and 6 on a piece of writing for the Gough Whitlam writing competition. This competition was previously advertised in our newsletter and there were a handful of students who either approached me or I received an email from their parents to inform me of their child’s interest.

It has been wonderful seeing the students write about topics they are passionate about and follow the writing process to deliver a high standard of work. We look forward to sharing some of these in the newsletter in coming weeks.

Next week I will be advertising a whole school writing competition (K-6) for all students. The theme will be The St Monica’s Way and we look forward to any interested students engaging in this activity. More details will be included in next week’s newsletter.
