Afternoon Connections - Jacinda Vaughan

Chatting after school is a fundamental time to connect with your kids after a busy day. Asking questions that don’t have a right answer will develop robust conversational skills.
The cards in the link below can be played within the car, at home or even out and about. Having them somewhere like on the dining table where they have afternoon tea. Having a conversation is all about learning to listen and being able to appropriately respond too - this element is just as important as being able to tell your tale.
There are some cards with question starters only. These require the questioner to fill in the end with what they would like to know.
Having the structure of the cards really aids conversation and steers it in a positive meaningful direction.
