Sports News Update - Ryan Matchett
Sports Update Term 3
With all the restrictions and precautions being taken with COVID-19, sport is still slightly on the back burner at this stage. Some carnivals are beginning to go ahead with very limited numbers of participants and no spectators allowed. At this stage there may be further restrictions lifted later in the term which would allow carnivals to possibly go ahead. I am attending a regional sport meeting next week so I will be able to provide further details in due course.
Unfortunately, the Boorowa Touch and Netball Carnival has been cancelled for 2020. The organisers have made the decisions early due to the uncertainty around COVID-19 restrictions and the potential danger it could cause with up to 10,000 people attending.
On to some more exciting news... This year as part of our Walkathon we will be holding a Colour Run component. Stay tuned in the weeks ahead for more details.
